Police officers push 70-year-old PMA rider across road at Ganges Avenue, help him home

Talk about going the extra mile — literally.

Two police officers were seen assisting an elderly man whose personal mobility aid (PMA) had run out of battery along Ganges Avenue on Tuesday (Jan 17).

Not only did they push the 70-year-old man across the road on his PMA, they also helped him home.

Videos of the incident were posted on TikTok and Facebook.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they received a call for assistance at 11.55am.

They added: "Upon arrival, the police officers found a 70-year-old man on a personal mobility device that had run out of battery. Our officers helped him home and resumed duties thereafter."

Netizens have lauded the police officers for their actions, with one noting that "this thing no joke, damn heavy........." and another saying, "Broken down PMA is not easy though."

A TikTok user also quipped: "Who is cutting onions."
