Police looking for e-scooter rider who fled after knocking down elderly woman at AMK

The police are looking for a man who is believed to have knocked down an elderly woman while on his e-scooter at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 5 on April 17.

The 65-year-old victim's daughter, Ms Sharon Sim, had posted on Facebook about the alleged hit-and-run accident that occurred at Block 538.

Ms Sim also shared photos of her mother's injuries, which include a cut on the nose area, as well as bruises on her knee, elbow and ribs.

In a statement yesterday (April 18), the police said they are looking for the man "to assist with investigations into a case of rash act causing hurt".

"He was last seen wearing a black helmet, black long-sleeves t-shirt, knee-length denim pants, slippers and carrying a black and red haversack," added the police.
