PMD rider sent flying after getting hit by car at Tampines junction, declines going to hospital

A personal mobility device (PMD) rider was hit by a car at a traffic junction in Tampines on Wednesday morning (Feb 3).

The police told Stomp that they were alerted to the accident at the junction of Tampines North Drive 1 and Tampines Avenue 9 at 8.48am.

The 31-year-old male PMD rider refused conveyance to the hospital.

A video posted online shows how the PMD was sent flying from the impact of the collision.

The video caption said that the PMD rider had failed to conform to the red light signal.

Police investigations are ongoing.
