PMD rider overtakes taxi while zooming along road

A video of an e-scooter rider speeding along a road in Singapore has been circulating online.

Several Stompers alerted Stomp to the video that was also posted on SG Reckless PMD Riders' Facebook page on Sunday (Oct 28).

The video has since garnered over 28,000 views.

It is unclear where or when this incident happened.

In the 15-second-long clip, the e-scooter is seen riding along the leftmost lane of the road.

A taxi is travelling in the middle lane.

The rider quickly overtakes the cab and whizzes past the person recording the video.

Netizens have commented on the speed the personal mobility device (PMD) rider was travelling at.

Under the Active Mobility Act, there is a speed limit of 10km/h for e-scooters on footpaths. They are not allowed on roads.
