Photos of fatal Sheares Avenue accident show car mangled after crashing into tree

A car accident along Sheares Avenue on Tuesday night (Aug 7) left one man dead and another injured.

Stomper Adrian, who submitted a video of the accident scene, said the driver had lost control of his car, crashed through a road barrier and into a tree.

The 37-year-old driver was extricated by the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) using rescue tools and pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.

A male passenger, also 37, was conscious when taken to Singapore General Hospital.
