Stomper Ravinder was touched when he witnessed a kind bus driver helping a couple find their way to a location on Nov 28.

Ravinder was heading home and had boarded bus service 249, with license plate SG5468P, at about 3pm along Tanjong Kling Road.

He was standing on the lower deck of the double-decker bus when a couple alighted the bus from the front door.

He said: "When they alighted, they looked very confused and lost. This is when the bus driver stepped in to help them."

The couple was invited back into the bus by the bus driver.

The Stomper told Stomp: "I could only hear bits and pieces of their conversation.

"I don't know where exactly they wanted to go, but the bus driver took the time to direct them.

"He advised them to stay in the bus until it reached the interchange, and to take the MRT train to their location."

Ravinder said that the bus driver could have chosen to drive off after the couple alighted, but instead chose to help them.

"I have never come across such a bus driver before.

"From personal experience, a lot of the bus drivers are rushing and do not have the time to give directions.

"It is rare to see this type of driver, who takes the time to give passengers a helping hand.

"I would like to wish the driver safety and prosperity and thank him for being so selfless."
