Passenger bus goes up in flames near Botanic Gardens

A passenger bus caught fire near the Singapore Botanic Gardens on Friday afternoon (Feb 21).

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told Stomp that it responded to the blaze at a carpark along Tyersall Road at around 12.10pm.

Stomper David said the incident occurred along "the road to park all the big buses" and shared a circulated video showing the bus engulfed in flames.

Thick black smoke can be seen.

Stomper B also reported seeing smoke rising from the area.

The fire was extinguished using two water jets and there were no reported injuries.

SCDF is investigating the cause of the fire.
