Around 18 e-scooter riders were seen crossing the road at a busy junction in Geylang amidst a crowd of pedestrians on Monday evening (May 27).

A Stomper shared a video of the PMD riders with Stomp.

The heavy foot traffic at the junction is due to its proximity to the popular Ramadan Bazaar at Geylang this month.

It may be concerning that the riders are weaving around the pedestrians as they cross the road but the Stomper thought the riders were behaving appropriately.

"I wanted to share this to show that riders can cross the road in a safe manner at pedestrian crossings," he said.

According to the Land Transport Authority, it is not required for PMD users to 'dismount and push', they are encouraged to push their devices at high pedestrian-traffic areas.
