Imagine never being able to leave your laundry out to dry because it's always wet weather outside.

Or at least that's what it feels like to Stomper CC, whose neighbour has been leaving dripping wet laundry out and wetting everything in its path.

CC, who lives on the ninth floor of Block 530 Bedok North Street 3, said this has been happening ever since she moved in two to three years ago.

Several videos that she shared shows water dripping from her upstairs neighbour's laundry and water droplets raining down.

In one video, the facade of the block is wet.

CC told Stomp last Wednesday (Sep 30): "This became more often around one year ago.

"Sometimes, it's even a doormat that is dripping wet, which I cannot accept.

"We've tried talking to the neighbours more than 10 times but to no avail.

"I’m not okay about this kind of people because I cannot dry my clothes outside. If you see the videos, you will notice that nobody below my unit dries their clothes outside."

In response to a Stomp query, Aljunied-Hougang Town Council said it received feedback on dripping laundry at the block on Sep 30.

A spokesman added: "In accordance to existing inter-agency protocols involving units hanging out dripping laundry, the town council has issued a joint advisory with the Housing & Development Board (HDB) to the stack of units on October 1.

"We will be monitoring the situation and work closely with HDB on this matter.

"We urge residents to exercise good neighbourliness and be considerate of fellow residents. This is crucial in building a harmonious living environment for all."
