Motorists brake for pelican crossing AYE flyover like a boss

Stomper Z was one of several motorists stunned to see a pelican crossing the Jurong Port Flyover along the Ayer Rajah Expressway on Tuesday morning.

Z told Stomp that he was on his way to work at about 7.20am when he noticed vehicles ahead of him slowing down for no apparent reason.

He soon discovered what the cause for the hold-up was.

He shared a video of the pelican strutting across the flyover like a boss as motorists braked to give way to it.

"Fortunately, the driver in front of me alighted from his vehicle to chase the bird away," said the Stomper.

"It almost got hit by a minibus as it flew towards the nearby Jurong Bird Park."
