Motorcyclist taken to hospital after collision with car at junction near Bukit Panjang Plaza

A motorcyclist was taken to hospital after his motorcycle collided into a car at the junction of Bukit Panjang Road and Bukit Panjang Ring Road yesterday evening (Dec 5).

Stomper Timothy said that he was passing by the accident site at about 7pm and sent in a picture of the incident.

In the picture, a motorcycle is lying on its side in the middle of the junction.

Stomp understands that the car driver said he was travelling on the extreme right lane of Bukit Panjang Road.

When he wanted to make a right turn into Bukit Panjang Ring Road, he felt an impact from the front left door of the car.

He realised that a motorcycle had hit his car and said he did not see it coming from his left.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said: "On Dec 5 at 6.42pm, the police were alerted to an accident involving a car and a motorcycle at the junction of Bukit Panjang Road and Bukit Panjang Ring Road.

"The motorcyclist, a 20-year-old man, was conscious when conveyed to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.

"Police investigations are ongoing."
