A 32-year-old man was taken to hospital after an accident involving his motorcycle and two cars along the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE) towards Tuas on Sunday evening (Oct 14).

Stomper J, a resident in the Toh Gua area, said she noticed the accident from her home at around 6.30pm.

Stomp understands that a car travelling in the middle lane had been trying to overtake another car in front of it.

While doing so, the first car hit the motorcycle that was on the first lane.

This caused the motorcycle to fall while the first car skidded and turned 90 degrees, before colliding into the car that it was attempting to overtake.

Responding to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident at 6.20pm.

The motorcyclist was conscious when conveyed to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.
