Motorcyclist seriously injured in accident with car along BKE, driver arrested

A 36-year-old motorcyclist was left seriously injured following an accident with a car along the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) on June 10.

Responding to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to an accident involving a car and a motorcycle along the BKE towards Woodlands at 6.11pm.

The male motorcyclist was unconscious when taken to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.

The car driver, a 28-year-old man, was arrested for causing grievous hurt by a rash act.

Photos and a video taken at the accident scene were posted on Facebook on Saturday (June 29).

In the video, a man can be seen lying on the road while paramedics attended to him.

The car also had its rear badly dented.

Facebook user Xiao HanRong Haro, the motorcyclist's colleague, appealed for more photos and videos of the accident.

He wrote: "We need evidence to help our colleague who is in ICU, he is seriously injured."

Police investigations are ongoing.
