A shared path is meant for pedestrians, bicycles and personal mobility aids, not motorcycles.

But a motorcyclist was caught on camera riding and parking illegally on a shared path outside the Innovis building at Ayer Rajah Avenue.

Sharing a video of the incident, Stomper D said this was not the first time this had happened.

"I have been working in this area for seven years and ever since the path was made wider for cyclists and pedestrians to share, it became an issue with motorcyclists riding onto the pavement and often going against the flow of traffic to ride onto the pedestrian pavement.

"I have reported this numerous times through the OneService app and the replies from LTA (Land Transport Authority) said they would take action."

The Stomper shared screenshots of the replies.

Offenders could be fined up to $2,000 and/or jailed for up to three months for using a motor vehicle on public paths.
