A motorcyclist was hurt in a hit-and-run with a car in the Marina Coastal Expressway (MCE) tunnel on May 25.

Stomper Dave said the injured rider is his friend and they are appealing for witnesses.

"My friend got into an accident around 6.40pm while travelling in the tunnel towards East Coast Parkway (ECP).

"The driver that side-swiped him and caused him to skid and fall did not stop and just drove away, leaving him injured and bleeding on the road alone.

"My friend had to have stitches on his forehead, a broken clavicle, many abrasions and lacerations on his body."

In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it received a call at about 6.55pm for assistance along the MCE towards ECP after Fort Road exit.

The Stomper's friend was taken to Raffles Hospital.

"We’ve since made a police report," said the Stomper.

"We are appealing for any witnesses to come forward if they saw anything with regards to the accident involving a black car and my friend’s motorcycle."

When contacted by Stomp, the police said they were alerted to an accident at 6.37pm and a 30-year-old male motorcyclist was conscious when taken to the hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.
