Motorcyclist conscious when she was taken to hospital after accident with taxi at Orchard Road

A motorcyclist was taken to hospital after an accident with a taxi at the junction of Orchard Road and Scotts Road on Friday night (Feb 10).

Stomper Marco shared a video showing police and an ambulance at the scene.

A motorcycle can be seen lying on the road in the middle of the junction. The taxi was a white Toyota Vellfire, which is a multi-purpose vehicle.

In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force said that it was alerted to a road traffic accident near 350 Orchard Road at about 9.30pm and one person was taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

When contacted by Stomp, police said the 48-year-old female motorcyclist was conscious when taken to the hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.
