A motorcyclist and his female pillion rider, both aged 23, were taken to hospital after an accident involving the motorcycle they were riding and a car along Petir Road towards Upper Bukit Timah Road on Monday (Oct 17).

The police and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told Stomp they were alerted to the accident at 8pm.

"The 38-year-old male car driver is assisting with police investigations," a police spokesman said.

A Stomper alerted Stomp to the incident and shared video clips taken at the scene.

In the footage, a Traffic Police (TP) officer appears to be administering a breathalyser test on a man.

Several bystanders look on as SCDF officers surround a  motorcycle that seems to be lodged under the front right of a white car.

Police investigations are ongoing.
