An accident involving two taxis and a motorcycle happened along the Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE) today (July 15) at around 8.15am.

Stomper Shelly told Stomp in a phone interview that an ambulance had overtaken her at around 8.15am.

She passed by the scene at around 8.18am and took some photos which she sent to Stomp.

In the photos, the motorcycle could be seen wedged between a taxi and the road, and an SCDF officer could be seen inspecting it.

Said Shelly:

"I didn't see any injured victims.

"Hope everyone is all right.

"Drive safe in this wet weather, everyone!"

In response to Stomp's media query, an SCDF spokesman said:

"SCDF was alerted to an accident involving a cab and a scooter along AYE towards Clementi at 8.01am.

"An ambulance was dispatched and reached the scene at 8.08am.

"The rider suffered light injuries and refused conveyance to a hospital."

The Police have issued an official statement on the incident:

"On July 15, at 7.59am, the Police were alerted to an accident involving two taxis and a motorcycle along AYE towards MCE, after Clementi Avenue 6 exit.

"Police investigations are ongoing."
