Motorcycle catches fire at Woodlands Checkpoint

A motorcycle caught fire at Woodlands Checkpoint on Wednesday evening (Aug 7).

Stomper Andy alerted Stomp to videos circulating online of the incident, showing flames engulfing the vehicle and several motorcyclists watching on from behind a barricade.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told Stomp they responded to the incident at the arrival motorcycle zone of the checkpoint at about 7.37am.

The fire was extinguished prior to SCDF's arrival by officers from the Immigration and Checkpoint Authority (ICA) and a member of the public using fire extinguishers.

There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
