A motorcycle caught fire in the multi-storey carpark at Block 541A Bukit Panjang Ring Road on Tuesday morning (May 30).

Stomper Maria, who shared videos of the scene, said she spotted black smoke emitting from the carpark at around 11am.

She added: "I saw firemen trying to put out the fire. At one point, there was a small explosion sound."

Photos taken by the Stomper show the charred motorcycle.

In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the fire at around 10.50am.

SCDF extinguished the fire using a compressed air foam trolley and two hose reels.

There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
