Monitor lizard runs away after being spotted by Stomper outside mall in Punggol

Stomper John had just left Waterway Point, a shopping mall in Punggol, on Sunday (July 21) at about 1pm when he noticed a monitor lizard outside the mall.

John told Stomp that he was walking down a flight of stairs when he saw the creature. 

He shared with Stomp a video of the monitor lizard.

In the video, the lizard is crawling over some drain covers and between some bushes before it goes away.

When asked whether authorities were contacted, John told Stomp: "No, the lizard started running away.

"Last I saw, it went into some bushes and was out of sight.

"There were many kids playing nearby, the lizard could bite them."
