A Stomper was taking a walk near Block 506 at Pasir Ris Street 52 on Feb 3, when something stopped him in his tracks: A monitor lizard.

According to him, the creature was from the nearby Sungei Api Api Park.

The Stomper shared his interesting encounter:

"Monitor lizard spotted on Feb 3 at 7.20pm as I was taking a walk.

"I was about to walk down the stairs when I stood frozen.

"Sensing a predator perhaps, the monitor lizard turned its head to its left, giving a side look.

"It then stuck out its tongue and briskly crawled back into its habitat."
