The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) is investigating an incident where two workers were seen standing on a roof along Club Street without proper safety equipment on Friday (Jan 8).

Stomper Keh said he was heading to get lunch when he spotted the pair of workers on the roof.

When he took a second glance, Keh told Stomp that he was shocked to see that there were not wearing safety harnesses.

"This is very dangerous. They are working at a height without safety equipment. What if something happens?" Keh said.

In response to a Stomp query, a spokesman for MOM said: “We aware of the incident and are investigating.”

MOM also urged members of the public who wish to report workplace safety and health issues to do so through the SnapSAFE mobile application.
