A Mercedes-Benz driver was caught on video using his phone while driving his convertible in a tunnel along the Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE).
Stomper Kino alerted Stomp to a video of the incident that was posted on SG Road Vigilante's YouTube page.
According to the timestamp on the video, it happened on June 7 at about 2.53pm.
In the video, the man can be seen with his left hand on the steering wheel while his right hand is holding a phone.
Under the Road Traffic Act, a driver of a vehicle who holds in his hand a mobile communication device and operates any of its communicative or other functions while the vehicle is in motion on a road or in a public place is guilty of an offence.
Offenders may face a fine of u to $1,000 and/or a jail term of up to six months.
