Members of public put out recycling bin fire in Bukit Batok

A recycling bin caught fire near Block 395 Bukit Batok West Avenue 5 on Thursday (Feb 24).
In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the blaze at around 5.20pm.
A Stomper shared a video showing the recycling bin in flames.
The fire was extinguished by members of the public using a water hose prior to SCDF's arrival.
There were no reported injuries and the cause of the incident is under investigation.
