Man who allegedly molested woman at Jurong West void deck arrested within 3 hours

A 28-year-old man was arrested after allegedly molesting a woman at a void deck at Jurong West Street 71 on Friday (April 16).

The police received a report about the case from the victim at around 11.20am.

Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Jurong Police Division established the man's identity and arrested him within three hours of the report being made.

The man was charged in court on Saturday with outrage of modesty, which carries a jail term of up to two years and/or a fine and/or caning.
