Man to be charged after employee engaged in indecent act in massage establishment

A 43-year-old man will be charged on Tuesday (May 4) for failing to ensure his employees do not engage in any indecent act in a massage establishment.

The police said in a statement that they were alerted at about 3pm on Sep 10, 2020 that one of the man's employees at a massage establishment along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6 had allegedly engaged in an indecent act while providing massage services to a customer.

Officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division established that the man had purportedly failed to ensure his employees do not engage in any indecent act while providing massage services.

The offence carries a fine of up to $5,000.

For repeat offenders, he offence carries a fine of up to $10,000, a jail term of up to two years, or both.

The police said they take a serious view against any person who may be involved in such illicit business operations and perpetrators will be dealt with in accordance with the law.
