The police are investigating a dispute that happened on an MRT train on the East-West Line on June 22.

A Stomper alerted Stomp to the incident and shared his account of what happened.

At about 10.40pm, near Bedok MRT Station, a man threatened the Stomper and wanted to fight.

"When I did not take his bait and remained seated, he repeatedly punched the glass panel beside me and spat at me, smearing the glass panel with his spit," said the Stomper.

"He also tried to forcibly grab my phone, hitting my hand in the process, before running out of the train when other passengers shouted at him.

"I reported the incident to the MRT train driver at the last station, Pasir Ris and a station staff who came by the train, showing them the spit on the glass panel."

The Stomper also reported the matter to the police.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they received information on a case of dispute at 12.50pm.

Police investigations are ongoing.
