Man speeds off at road block, arrested for multiple offences involving scheduled weapons and drugs

A 30-year-old driver sped off at a road block along Balestier Road in the early hours of Tuesday (Jan 5) and was subsequently arrested for multiple offences.

Stomper Timothy said he saw numerous police officers and vehicles at 20 Peach Garden at around 2am and sent a photo to Stomp.

Responding to queries by Stomp, the police said they were conducting a road block along Balestier Road, towards Thomson Road, at around 12.35am when a male driver refused to comply with instructions and sped off.

The 30-year-old male driver was subsequently arrested for alleged possession of scheduled weapons, traffic-related offences, and suspected drug-related offences.
