A man was rescued from an office unit at Golden Mile Complex after a fire broke out at about 3.25pm on Thursday (Sep 5).

A Stomper contributed photos of the scene which shows a fire engine and crowds of people standing outside the building.

In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said: "SCDF responded to a fire at a sixth-floor office unit at Golden Mile Complex at about 3.25pm on Thursday (Sep 5).

"The fire involved contents of an office and was extinguished by SCDF using two compressed air foam backpacks.

"A man was rescued from the unit and was conveyed conscious to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

"The cause of the fire is under investigation."

Stomp understands that the cause of the fire was not due to a Personal Mobility Device (PMD).
