Man nabbed for 2 cases of outrage of modesty at Jurong West and Boon Lay Place

A 31-year-old man was arrested on Sunday (May 23) for his suspected involvement in two cases of outrage of modesty.

In the first incident, the police received a report on February 14 from a victim who informed that she had been purportedly molested by an unknown man along a footpath located within Hong Kah Point at Jurong West Street 51.

In the second case, the police received a report on May 16 from another victim, informing that she had been purportedly molested by an unknown man at Boon Lay Place on May 2.

Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Jurong Police Division established the suspect's identity and arrested him.

The man will be charged in court on May 24.

The offence of outrage of modesty carries a jail term of up to two years and/or a fine and/or caning.
