Man in Little India taken to hospital after sustaining slash wounds

A 36-year-old man was taken to hospital on Wednesday night (Oct 21) after sustaining slash wounds on his back.

It is unclear how he got injured.

Stomper Rupy said he noticed several police cars and many police officers near Mustafa Centre in Little India at around 9.45pm.

He added: "A convenience store had been cordoned off with police tape and officers were seen entering the shophouse above.

In response to Stomp queries, the police said they were alerted to a case of voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous means or weapons along 43 Rowell Road at 9.05pm.

A 36-year-old man was conscious when conveyed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

Police are investigating the incident.
