A man was concerned to find metal strips, which he believed were from a stainless steel scrubbing pad, in his meal from a coffee shop stall on Saturday (Jan 23).
Stomper Jonathan said he visited the Food City coffee shop at Block 447A Jalan Kayu at around 4pm.
He ordered Nasi Briyani Ayam with add-on potato for $6.
Jonathan, who shared photos of the incident, recounted: "I had just brought the food to my table and was about to eat, when I found strips of metal entangled in the fried chicken.
"The metal strips are probably from a stainless steel scrubbing pad. Imagine if I happened to eat it.
"The stall assistant was not apologetic at all. He just took my plate away and replaced it with a new one. There was no apology.
"It's my first time at this stall and coffee shop, and nothing like this has happened to me before, but I find this really very dangerous.
"Surely they are able to see the metal strips when they chop the chicken?
"I have reported this to the relevant authorities and it's pending their investigation."
