Man arrested for loanshark harassment after allegedly splashing paint on Toa Payoh unit

A 23-year-old man has been arrested for his suspected involvement in loansharking activities.

On Feb 12, the police were alerted by the owner of a residential unit at Block 86, Lorong 2 Toa Payoh that a man was loitering outside his unit and is believed to have splashed paint at his unit.

The suspect's identity was established and he was subsequently arrested.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the man is believed to be involved in several other cases of loanshark harassment island wide.

The man was charged in court yesterday (Feb 13) under the Moneylenders Act.
