Man arrested for allegedly stealing alcohol on multiple occasions at Orchard Road

A 35-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly stealing bottles of alcohol on multiple occasions at Orchard Road.

The police said in a statement they received a report on Sunday (June 6) that alcohol was missing from a supermarket along Orchard Road.

Officers from Tanglin Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on Wednesday (June 9).

A total of 204 bottles of alcohol were seized as case exhibits.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the man is also believed to be involved in other similar cases of theft of alcohol in the area.

Police investigations are ongoing.

The man will be charged in court on Friday (June 11) for theft in dwelling which carries a jail term of up to seven years and a fine.
