Man arrested for allegedly molesting 2 women on bus in separate cases

A 42-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday (Sep 7) for allegedly molesting two women in separate cases.

The police received separate reports from the two victims on July 30, and August 8, both of whom said they had been molested by an unknown man while on board a bus in the vicinity of Tampines.

Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from the police cameras, officers from Public Transport Security Command and Woodlands Police Division established the man's identity and arrested him.

The man will be charged in court on Thursday (Sep 9) with two counts of outrage of modesty, which carries a jail term of up two years and/or a fine and/or caning.
