Man arrested after entering Ayer Rajah Crescent toilet and taking video of woman in cubicle

A 30-year-old man was arrested for criminal trespass and voyeurism after allegedly entering a female toilet at Ayer Rajah Crescent and taking a video of a woman inside one of the cubicles.

The police had received a call for assistance on February 8, at around 2.40pm.

Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from CCTV and police cameras, officers from Clementi Police Division established the suspect's identity and arrested him on Friday (Feb 19).

Police investigations are ongoing.

The offence of criminal trespass carries an imprisonment term of up to three months and/or a fine of up to $1,500.

The offence of voyeurism carries a jail term of up to two years and/or a fine and/or caning.
