Man arrested after allegedly attacking another guy with scissors along Geylang Road

A 36-year-old man who allegedly attacked another guy with a pair of scissors along Geylang Road was arrested on Sunday morning (Oct 6).

The police had received a report about the incident at around 8am.

The assailant was reported to have fled the scene and the victim was conscious when taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Bedok Police Division established the suspect's identity.

The man was arrested in the vicinity of Geylang Road at about 8.25am on the same day.

He will be charged in court on Monday (Oct 7) for voluntarily causing grievous hurt by a dangerous weapon.

Anyone convicted for voluntarily causing grievous hurt with dangerous weapons may be jailed for life, and may also be fined or caned.
