Man and woman taken to hospital after lorry beats red light and rams into Merc at Mandai Road

A 40-year-old driver and his 29-year-old passenger were taken to hospital after a lorry beat a red light a crashed into a Mercedes-Benz car along Mandai Road in the early hours of Sunday morning (Sep 5).

The collision was caught on video and posted on SG Road Vigilante's Facebook page.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident along the Seletar Expressway (SLE) towards Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) at the junction of Mandai Road at about 3.17am.

"A 40-year-old male driver and his 29-year-old female passenger were conscious when conveyed to the hospital, a police spokesman said.

Police investigations are ongoing.
