Man and woman taken to hospital after chain collision in CTE tunnel

A 56-year-old driver and his passenger, a 58-year-old woman, were taken to hospital after a chain collision involving five cars along the Central Expressway (CTE) towards the Seletar Expressway (SLE) on Aug 28.

Several Stompers shared photos and videos circulating online of the incident which involved one car mounted on top of what appears to be a Porsche.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the incident at 5.18pm.

"A 56-year-old male driver and his 58-year-old female passenger from one of the cars were conscious when conveyed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital," a police spokesman said.

Police investigations are ongoing.
