While Stomper Alan is no stranger to news reports about killer litter, he never imagined how close he would come to being a victim.

Alan said he had just completed a delivery at Block 15 Hougang Avenue 3 last Friday (Dec 30), at around 3.46pm, when a flower pot crashed down right in front of him.

He added: "Just as I walked out from the void deck, something plodded inches away from me under units #117 and #119. It made me jump and I turned to see what it was.

"It caught me by surprise and upon realising a potted plant had crashed down from the flats above me, I quickly walked towards the carpark to my car, looking at the above flats to see if anyone was looking down. However, I could not see anyone.

"After recovering from my shock, I went to the nearby police station to make a report."

In response to a Stomp query, the police confirm that a report was lodged.

Alan told Stomp: "I've read about such incidents of killer litter but never envisioned it actually happening to me. After calming down, I realised that had I walked out directly under, I would have sustained serious injuries or even been killed!

"The afterthoughts of not being able to see my family just flashed across my mind."
