Man allegedly trespassed into Siloso Beach toilet, pushed woman into cubicle and groped her breasts

A 25-year-old man was charged in court on Monday (Jan 2) for allegedly molesting a woman along Siloso Beach Walk.

The police said they received information about a case of aggravated outrage of modest on Jan 1, at around 3.20am.

Through follow-up investigations, officers from Clementi Police Division established the man's identity and arrested him within two hours from the report.

CNA reported that Indian national Subramanian Muralimanogarjoshi had allegedly trespassed into the toilet at Siloso Beach at about 2.55am, pushed a woman into a cubicle, locked the door and groped her breasts.

Subramanian has been charged with one count each of criminal trespass and outrage of modesty with wrongful restraint.

He was remanded on Monday and his case was adjourned to Jan 30.

The police said they have zero tolerance towards sexual offenders who threaten the personal safety of the community, adding: "Offenders will be dealt with sternly in accordance with the law."
