Man, 65, arrested for attempted murder of man, 37, who was found with burn wounds in Marsiling

A 65-year-old man has been arrested for the attempted murder of a 37-year-old man.

The police said they received a call for assistance along Marsiling Crescent on Wednesday night (Dec 28), at around 10.12pm.

When officers arrived, they found the victim with burn wounds. He was conscious when taken to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.

"The 65-year-old man was arrested at scene in connection to the incident," the police said in a news release on Thursday night.

The suspect will be charged in court on Friday with attempted murder. If convicted, he can face either life imprisonment and caning, or be jailed for up to 20 years and/or caned.

Police investigations are ongoing.
