A 35-year-old man was hit by a car while crossing the road at the junction of Bedok Road and Upper Changi Road East on Thursday morning (July 26).

Stomp understands that the green light had been in the pedestrian's favour.

The car had been making a turn and failed to brake in time, resulting in the collision.

Stomper Bugatti, who passed by the scene, alerted Stomp to the accident and said: "The man was lying injured on the ground, at the right-side kerb of the road.

"A lot of workers were seen surrounding the injured person.

"An ambulance also arrived at the scene."

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident involving a car and a pedestrian at 9am.

The victim was conscious when taken to Changi General Hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.
