Man, 32, arrested for performing obscene act near woman at Chai Chee Road

A 32-year-old man was arrested on Monday (May 27) for his suspected involvement in a case of obscene act that occurred at Chai Chee Road.

The police said in a statement that they received a report on May 25 at 7.05pm of an unknown man performing an obscene act near a woman.

Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Bedok Police Division subsequently arrested the man along Chai Chee Road.

He will be charged in court on Wednesday (May 29) with the offence of committing an obscene act in a public place.

If convicted, he may face up to three months' jail and a fine.
