A 19-year-old man was apprehended after he was pulled from the edge of the top of a dormitory building at Old Choa Chu Kang Road on Friday morning (July 24).

Stomper Randy alerted Stomp to a Facebook video of the incident that happened at Sungei Tengah Lodge, Singapore's biggest dormitory for migrant workers.

In the video, the man is seen standing precariously close to the edge of the building and looking down.

Another man is then seen slowly approaching him from behind before quickly pulling him to safety with the help of one more man.

A crowd of people are heard cheering them on.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they received a call for assistance at 506 Old Choa Chu Kang Road at 10.27am.

"A 19-year-old man was apprehended under Section 7 of the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) Act," a police spokesman said.
