Male body found floating in Singapore River

The body of a man was discovered floating in the Singapore River on Tuesday morning (July 30).

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the case at 8.25am.

A police spokesman added: "The body of a man was retrieved and he was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene."

Photos published by The Straits Times show a death tent at the scene, near the Asian Civilisations Museum. At least three police vehicles were parked nearby.

Police investigations are ongoing.
