LTA takes action against driver whose engine goes 'boom, boom, boom at 5am every morning'

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) has taken enforcement action against a driver who had a complaint lodged against him for revving his car engine at 5am every morning.

This comes after the driver was chided by a resident at the multi-storey carpark at Blk 161A Meiling Street on January 27.

A video of an argument between the pair subsequently went viral online.

In a post on Tuesday (Feb 2), Facebook page SG Road Vigilante shared a response from LTA regarding the driver's loud exhaust.

Replying to an email complaint filed against the driver on January 27, LTA said that its enforcement officers had located the offending vehicle and taken enforcement action for an "exhaust related offence".

"It will be subjected for an inspection in due course," added LTA.
