Stomper Lyn and her husband were having dinner at People's Park Complex Food Centre on Monday evening (Nov 12) when they found a piece of plastic in their bowl of mala xiangguo.

Lyn, who was in Chinatown from around 8pm to 9.30pm, said the meal cost $21.

She told Stomp: "My husband and I saw that there was a long queue at this stall named Ri Ri Hong Mala Xiang Guo (日日红麻辣香锅), so we decided to give it a try.

"Halfway through our meal, we realised that there was a plastic-looking thing in our food. We took a closer look and realised that it was a piece of plastic, slightly bigger than a $1 coin.

"We informed the stall and they apologised."

Lyn said that she and her husband stopped eating after discovering the plastic.
