Lot One Shoppers' Mall responds after leak causes it to 'rain indoors' at food court

Diners at Lot One Shoppers' Mall's food court experienced an unexpected 'downpour' while eating due to a water leak on Wednesday afternoon (Oct 9).

A Stomper, who was dining at Food Junction on the fourth floor, alerted Stomp to the incident.

"Some people were affected when the water started leaking," he said.

"They were forced to move to another location.

"Staff were seen using some form of plastic to prevent the water from dripping down towards customers."

In response to a Stomp query, a Lot One Shoppers' Mall spokesman said: "At around 1pm on 9 October 2019 (Wednesday), we were alerted to water leaking from the ceiling of the mall's Level 4 food court.

"Our team was immediately mobilised to assist the tenant.

"The affected area resumed operations about half an hour later after rectification works."
